PLEX is losing track of why they even have paying customers in the first place. My Smart TV does the multi-platforms content search quite well ,thank you very much. I no longer care for other platforms' content when I open PLEX; I want to browse and then stream my local content FAST and with no excuses for transcoding especially on LAN.

Intel brands both older Skylake-based cores and new Ice Lake based cores as 10th-generation Core. They announced Ice Lake would be called 10th gen first, and tout that a lot louder because it's part of their move to the 10nm manufacturing process, but Ice Lake isn't good for high-clock processors. Actually, ARM changed their official name to Arm some years ago (2017 I think). Also the name of their architectures, e.g. Armv8. That's why I wrote it as such. There's some truth to it, even a completely idle system seems to delay writing. Try it yourself: mount a USB stick, and copy some stuff to it. The LED on the flash stick often doesn't even start blinking until you issue the command to eject, when it finally starts writing.

So many memories of those early /. days have come flooding back.
