Yeah, 'cos that Rocky Horror thing? That was an unmitigated success! And while I can't bring them to mind, I do believe there have been other movies that were successful on DVD/video after failing in the theaters....

    The 80's sucked in so many ways, so revisiting them to revel in how much they sucked is not a good thing. The movie implies Donnie dying will save some lives and change other's for the better. If so, then why show the asian girl? Her life will suck in either reality. I remember at least one other instance of false sympathy for his sacrifice. I remember there was more to dislike including a paradox that broke the film but I've forgotten and won't be seeing the director's cut. Hell, I might s
    • The girl of Oriental descent (her name is Cherita) showed that Donnie couldn't just magically fix things. He was coming to a point where he believed that he could make it all work out; he was beginning to believe that, given his foreknowledge of future events, he could redo it all perfectly, until he realized that he could never make Cherita happy without sacrificing both Gretchen's happiness and his own, not to mention going against his love for Gretchen.

      Essentially, Cherita was there to demonstrate that
