It's the 21st century, we do not need to follow a system created for an 18th century agricultural society.
For that matter, I'm rather surprised we haven't all switched to GMT since it would just be better be on a nice, stable, global time than to try and figure out what time it is in the next state when it's less than 10m away.
And then someone had the bright idea to move our DST so now even other countries that are following it for some reason are now an hour off again for a few weeks.
Just nuts...
