All these moderations happened at or around the same time, they are all marked flamebait, and they are all bad moderation.

I see deserved moderation. And, judging your discussion in the Scientology thread, you were definitely baiting the flame.
So, are you the moderator in question? All the mods came at the same time, I was obviously a target of someone with sand in their vagina. Scientology is evil and must be destroyed. I wish Slashdot would at least get the functionality of Failbook, so I could prevent anonymous tools like you from crapping up my journal entries.

You pissed someone off. It happens to everyone sooner or later. They'll troll you for a while until they get bored of you, or find someone more deserving of their childish scorn and enmity. My prediction is that you will continue to live throughout the trials and tribulations, that they will continue to be assholes bent on trying and tribulating you for a month or so, and that 100% of the rest of the world won't give a shit.

Because I seriously think only the first one you mentioned comes close to being warranted in being marked a flame - though granted, it probably would only be offensive to some Scientology supporters, though I personally consider them somewhat rabid to start with so I think everyone can expect that kind of behavior anyhow...
Now as for the rest of the ones you mention above, I think it's just a sad commentary on how polarized people in our culture have gotten. They just seem to want to lash out at anyone who

Being marked Flamebait for telling the truth is nothing short of a failure of the system. Unpopular speech is the most important kind to protect; I don't think it's censorship, but it is a deliberate attempt to chill that speech, and slashdot is complicit in this attempt by the simple fact that repeat abusers of the mod system are permitted to moderate. The management is simply not interested in these abuses.
Now as for the rest of the ones you mention above, I think it's just a sad commentary on how polarized people in our culture have gotten.
