When I created my mobile app, rather than use cognitive or other SAAS based âoefederatedâ auth service, I had Claude create one for me. And I created a nice framework that lets us use lambda as well as docker for our API layers This not only allows me to develop and test the entire auth and API stack locally, but we can pack up and leave on a whim All this took was a bit of prep and planning and about 3 weeks of dev and testing With the ease and speed at which component devs can create and ship enterprise architectures, why pay someone for lock-in on theirs?

What is it you think makes a thing intelligent? How would you decide if someone or something you're speaking with is intelligent or not?

>"pick up the things that deep learning based LLMs keep failing on"

For instance? I'm not asking rhetorically - I really don't know what they would fail and and humans do well at.

How do we know what a LLM scores on an IQ test?

>A claim of "AGI" is a claim that the weakest of it's jagged capabilities is still stronger than that of the average human, and I don't believe we'll see that this year.

Is that a claim of AGI? I thought it's average capabilities just had to be as good as the average person.

What is it you think AGI will be able to do that the current models can't?

AGI isn't ASI. AGI just has to be as intelligent as a person, and we're at least at that point.

Yup! We've had AGI for at least 6 months now, if not longer. Anthropic and OpenAI's current models are at least as intelligent as the average person.

At one time, in what seems like 6 lifetimes ago, taking your mobile phone to the toilet appeared perverted to most.

I mean it still does to me, but i feel like i am in the minority these days....

Why waste âoeeducationâ on willfully ignorant troglodytes? America is done. Within two decades it will only be known as a 3rd world hell hole of atrocities and âoereligionâ as petty warlords fight to rule over the rabble of whatâ(TM)s left after the societal collapse and the people have either killed each other for scraps while the others starved to death On the plus side, we wonâ(TM)t have to worry about dealing with the American threat and tolerating American pig-people anymore â" just be sure to seize all those bases abroad and refuse all admittance. Let them die in misery in their beloved Jesustan of ignorance, hate and death

I just bought a car through them (not in Texas), and it was the easiest car buying process I've even had in my life. No haggling, no "let me talk to my manager", no upsells, and no waiting for hours in a dealership office. I will never step foot in a car dealership again,

autonomous killing robots are a bad idea because there is nothing to stop them from killing you next.
killing indiscriminately is a war crime. just because the russians do plenty o war crimes does not make it ok for the other side to do them.

k but its maybe not worth unleashing literal terminators.

should the russians be nuked? survey says probably not. rules of war are like the prime directive. mostly people have to follow it to remain civilized.

reminds me of that sneakers chip from the movie. picture it marty, all code is cracked and exploited. all systems are compromised. no more secrets.

How can you "forget how to code"? That's like forgetting how to tie your shoes or ride a bike - I can't imagine it happening to anyone.

But I can't pay those actors to be in my super-niche-but-interesting-to-me movie. I can definitely have AI do it, though.
