I almost wonder if that's actually a dude who was on the flight or someone taking advantage of an opportunity to get in the news.
Seems so unlikely.
I own a tiny indie studio in Chicagoland and my peers own the some of the huge studios in Chicagoland.
Cinespace is dead right now. It has ONE show active. The other studios are so dead that they're secretly hosting bar mitzvahs and pickleball tournaments for $1500 a day just to pay property taxes.
My studio is surprisingly busy but I'm cheap and cater to non-union folks with otherwise full time jobs.
Google bugs me a few times a week to use Chrome on iOS because I use the Gmail app...
Airlines have been charging different customers different prices based on ability to pay for decades. Leisure pax book in advance and biz pax book last minute. Then there is class and buckets.
We already had Y2K. Seems dumb to create any so called standard limited to a 100 year lifespan.
You have a point.
But what large group of people has there ever been where there has been no toxicity or social problems within?
Facebook, Twitter, social media in general, IRC, ICQ, news groups.... I've been around a looooong time on the internet, enough time to understand that the problem is not the platform, its the people.
How do we solve that?
People should spend their energy learning how the tools work, and how to use them well.
This may come across as tongue in cheek but I am deadpan serious.
My only complaint is that they will not shut up and take my money
Theres no real reason why those "illegal hotels" cant get properly licensed and offer the same product at the same time (ie accepting pets).
The "illegal hotels" wont do that tho because it costs them money and means inspections so their rooms arent death traps.
This is a good time to remind everyone that when government fucks with markets 40 years ago, they make it hell on everyone for the next 200 years.
You're supposed to stand on the shoulders of giants to see further ahead, not to better shit on their heads.
Did you come up with this? Because its spot-on and I plan to use it going forward
One small step for man, one giant stumble for mankind.
