Comment Intervention != accident (Score 1) 67

AFAIK an intervention is not an event that would have been an accident, but rather a situation in which the control software of the vehicle decides that it cannot solve the current driving situation. Without human intervention such a car is expected to pull over in a safe manner. Also, self-driving car companies are offering the combination of software + human operators for these interventions. Hence the measure should be the same as for human drivers: miles driven per accident caused.

Coincidentally, just today I had an issue that's only solvable by rooting the
phone. It is a pretty stupid bug too, I want to connect through WiFi to an
isolated LAN, but the device *requires* Internet access otherwise it
auto-disconnects. The only way to change this behaviour is by changing a setting
with adb, with su access, which I most probably won't be able to get (Galaxy S6 /
T-Mobile locked).

Trump himself provided the evidence. He affirmed he fired Comey so the "russier" investigation would end quickly. That's obstruction of justice.

File System Improvements To the Windows Subsystem for Linux (microsoft.com) 110

An anonymous reader shares a new article published on MSDN: In the latest Windows Insider build, the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) now allows you to manually mount Windows drives using the DrvFs file system. Previously, WSL would automatically mount all fixed NTFS drives when you launch Bash, but there was no support for mounting additional storage like removable drives or network locations. Now, not only can you manually mount any drives on your system, we've also added support for other file systems such as FAT, as well as mounting network locations. This enables you to access any drive, including removable USB sticks or CDs, and any network location you can reach in Windows all from within WSL.
