As to the given link (http://www.toubib.us/dragaera/), it damn near blinded me. From the semi-psychdelic tiled background (circa early 90's) to the numerous font faces (the size and color of which vary wildly depending, apparently, on the relative value of the phrase or sentence) to the nav buttons (which are straight out of FrontPage), this is an angry fruit salad through and through.
And then we have the opening sentence:
These hollowed pages will give some small knowledge on characters of some importance in the novels told by Steven Brust on the planet of Dragaera ...
And "hollowed" they should be, in their present state. As if the use of "hollowed" for "hallowed" and the akwardness of having five prepositional phrases in a row were not enough, I regret to inform you that novels are not "told." They can be written. They can be read. They can even be thrown, if bad enough. Sadly, however, they cannot be told.
In short ...
You SO fail it! In fact, you fail it three times over. You fail visual design. You fail English. Most importantly, however, you fail life.
Darken the doorstep of the internet no longer. Please remove the abomination that you have wrought upon us all. Wipe it from existence, even as we struggle to wipe it from our memory. Furthermore, please uninstall your copy of FrontPage, as the lure of its drag-and-drop simplicity is a devious temptation that never should have been unleashed on the casual user in the first place.
