I'm torn on this. I believe nuclear is an import part of clean energy and should be used. At the same time, I know in the US energy companies are generally private companies, meaning they care about profits more than anything else. Nuclear power plants can be run safely, but I have no faith the an American company WILL run them safely. When the choice is saving some money or raising risk by 1%, most companies will take the small amount of risk to save the money. With a nuclear plant, that should never happen.

It is because while they hate Jews, they love Israel. The biggest reason is the evangelicals think Israel has to take back all the land before the rapture can happen. So they are big Israel supporters. Mind you when the rapture happens, all the jews die and go to hell, and they are 100% OK with that.

This is what it has come to? We will scan for antisemitic activity, but nothing else? So if you post about supporting killing all Muslims, that is not a red flag they are looking for? I can understand wanting to look for anti-american sentiment (not agree with it, but at least understand it). But looking for anti-Israel sentiment and nothing else just says that Israel is running things for the US. How about any type of violence related activity toward anyone?

They are on a binary, but it is "Trump good, democrats bad". There isn't much thought beyond that. Trump said these cuts were good, so they must be good. Other people, who must be democrats because they oppose Trump, say the cuts are not good, so those people are bad. At now point does looking at the cuts and seeing what they actually are ever come into it.

This is what happens when everything becomes politics. Yes, the government was always political, but for the most part, the people who worked there were just that, workers. They stayed on through administrations and continued to do their jobs, because they weren't involved in the politics. Now, Trump is determined to make everything the government touches and everyone within the government into a political operative. And if you refuse to play along, you will be fired and replaced with someone will to do whatever he wants, regardless of legality or ethics. The data says it was likely natural, but being develops in a lab plays better politically so that will be the official position, regardless of the data. Truth is no longer a factor. Being correct is no longer a factor. Political gain is the only factor.

While this article, like most others, is here to make Gen Z look bad, why are they skipping out on work? How many didn't show up because they found out the job they were hired for is not the job that was advertised? How many found a better job than the crap job they were forced to accept? How many got the hiring information and found the job that said it was flexible and included work from home really didn't? I fully applaud Gen Z for taking a stand against employers. Employers have been getting worse and worse for decades, and they are the first generation to really stand up against them.

LOL - you know who doesn't like that stuff. Older white men. Every time comics do something to bring in newer reader, who actually want new things, the "old guard" do nothing but scream about it and refuse to even give it a chance. That is why comics are slowly dying. The old guard doesn't want anything new, but they are all dying out and trying to kill anything that would appeal to anyone but them. Unless it is a character that was created 50 years ago, they don't want anything to do with it. Instead, they talk about how everything is woke and DEI and nothing it good, because they don't understand anything that they didn't read when they were kid.

You are correct, but you are leaving out one factor. To apply for asylum you must be in the US. YOu must apply either inside the US or at a port of entry. People cannot apply for asylum without being inside the country. When people talk about "illegal immigrants" the majority of them are people awaiting trial on their asylum claim. They are totally allowed to be in the country while claiming asylum. They are following the law. The proper fix for this is not mass deportation of people, it is fixing the asylum system. Let's put the money into the system to fix it so people are not waiting for years for their asylum claim to go to trial. We hire enough judges that asylum claims take a reasonable amount of time (say a month). Then we can actually hold people until their claim goes before the judge (which we can't do now because it takes so long). There is nothing wrong with the immigration system except it is starved for resources. The process itself is exactly how it should be.

As a woman who needs an abortion is she cares if the dems or the GOP are holding office. Ask a trans person if it matters who gets elected to office. Yes, there is a large problem with corporate interests running both parties, but there are still a lot of differences between the parties that matter to everyday people.

The fact you feel the need to try and cut off people before they say it shows you know he is part of the problem. No one would say this about someone they didn't think was part of the issue. And the fact is, he is a real part of the issue. HE cares more about how much people like him and are loyal to him than anything else.
