I worked in customer service and this is going to make more people want to work in this area. Customers can still get their frustrations out without picking on the poor rep trying to help them. Some people use anger to intimate to get their way - not cool. Soon everywhere?

I find it sad. if they close, it would reduces competition. I'm not sure about the US but in Canada there's isn't much competition. I bought many things at BB and appreciated their price match policy.

Apple, Dell, Toshiba have been at it for decades and therefore had time to learn from several power issues with their portable computers. Microsoft is essentially trying to leapfrog everyone with mitigated success.

Yet the mainframe is by far the most reliable and secure environment where to run production software. The folks working on mainframe have traditionally more rigour in their processes than those running mid-range servers. At least it was the case not that long ago.

I'm sure there's a theme/skin/ricing that makes Windows 7 look and perform just like Windows 10. So you can have the look and feel in case you have an urge to upgrade.

You're not alone buddy. Linux Mint has been my desktop OS since version 16. I wish Microsoft was more interested in being the good guy instead of the bully.

I think people liked Metro. It's the confusion in having some components in Metro (with almost no features) and it's traditional desktop cousin which had all the features you'd expect. Metro simplified too much. As soon as you needed real power, you needed to switch to the desktop version. Most of Windows management components were no available in the Metro UI. I'm not sure Windows 10 solved this... time will tell. That being said, I'm glad you liked Metro.
