Imperial units only in name, a lot of the time. The US gallon is tiny, as is the US pint. US tons are light too. These are not Imperial units.
Do you account for VAT (nearly always included in UK prices, at 20%) and sales tax (nearly always excluded in US prices, at variable rates)? The comparable price is probable £13.33 for the UK, or $17.64 for 500 (3.53 cents per tab).
This happens all the time for positions that don't have H1Bs. It's not unique to hiring and retaining H1Bs. Any business, institution or government agency that wants to fill a position and is required to publicly post a position has probably done this if they already have a specific candidate in mind.
True to a large part, but it also depends on which population you're referring to, and I don't tend to be very America-centric. For example, Britons made over 91 million overseas trips in 2024, of which 71 million journeys were to Europe:

That's for a population of 69 million. Of course, there are people like me who went abroad eight times that year, and plenty who don't. Except for Portugal or Iceland or Western Africa, all of those trips involved a time zone change. Of course, you said "most", which could be 51%. The point is: a large number of people do regularly travel across time zones.
Can't you just run the following instead of installing something, or did these change with Arm Macs?
pmset -g therm
sudo powermetrics --samplers thermal,cpu_power -n 1
The other clue is the kernel_task process unexpectedly running at high CPU load.
You are legally allowed to backup media (1:1 bit copy). Any backup of media requiring breaking encryption is violating the DMCA and thus illegal. It is a legal limitation, not a technical one.
I always preferred bayonet mounts over Edison screws. Thankfully 90% are the former around here. But I digress... I changed all my light bulbs to LED ones about nine years ago when we did some renovations and haven't changed any since. What the hell's going on with yours?
The wildlife in Amsterdam is very engaging to watch!
That's easy to fix around here: if the employee was working at the time, they represent the bank, so ask the bank about their GDPR policy and information about the recordings the employee made and how they're being handled.
I'd think the bank would want to stamp that practice out anyway because they don't control the recordings, which could lead to a security issue for them.
Just to add: if the government, including the police, started mass video surveillance, there would be justified outrage. Meta has more data processing than at least the UK government and consequently should be given less leeway.
As a Meta customer or user, the person with the glasses has had to agree to Meta's terms and conditions, including their data processing. For me though, an innocent bystander in the street, I haven't agreed to have information processed about me by Meta. Meta has a long suspected problem with shadow profiles, and I don't want their massive processing capabilities to be able to reference me wherever I am, even if it's in a public place. They have no system for me to make a GDPR request about the data they're holding on me. Based on Meta's behaviour over many years and statements from Zuck about privacy, they simply cannot be trusted with people's personal data.

You're right: civilian nuclear programmes are not cost effective compared with renewables. But, there's also the military aspect to this too. Military nuclear benefits by hiding/sharing some of the costs, industrial infrastructure, training, expertise, supply chains, etc with a civilian programme. If there was no civilian nuclear programme, the defence budget would be much bigger to fund things like the nuclear navy.
The UK is at 46% renewables, and that number is increasing rapidly. Why hasn't it collapsed yet?

Spain is at 56%:

Iceland is at 100% renewables:
