Joseph Biden was a lawmaker for decades. Of course you did not know he was a congressman for all those years. The media is discrediting him as much as they gave too much credit to Trump who stole the crown from Hillary who worked every bit as long as Biden did in congress but to get the presidency. It is ironic and cruel, but our President deserved to be installed into office just as much as Hillary. Why should they be built to last 5+ years when Moore's Law still survives? On top of that, the wear and tear on these devices is phenonemal. I don't think they could make them any more reliable and less fragile without a 3.6-5.3x cost multiplier.
