Comment Protectionism (Score 0) 37

There's a push to protect Europe's local business, disguised as laws "protecting user's data". In reality, if the same laws get applied in USA or elsewhere for Europe's companies, they simply cannot grow from their tiny countries / targets limited size. We should start enforcing a diplomatic mirrored response to Europe's companies, that should level the ground quickly enough. I mean, if every big american company cannot operate or is forced to operate under very limited contraints on little (compared to others) markets, then the public on those markets are going to suffer from a sub-par and pricey local offerings. Disclaimer: I'm not american, and live on the third world, but I dislike protectionism, even from America itself (and I'm looking at you, section 230!)

Comment Artic Routes (Score 2) 140

So opening new Artic Routes are a certainty. Along with explotation of resources there. So southern maritime routes, as they're hotly contended now are not that important as they are now as they will on the future. The next frontier is the north. Let's talk about that, and leave the fear of other things to professional alarmist activists.
