Typical GOP: scream loudly about how bad government is while doing everything in their power to make it that way and blaming Democrats for why it's bad. It's baked into the One Big Beautiful (For Billionaires) Bill where all the nasty cuts to programs that help the non-wealthy take place after the midterms, where it is likely that the Democrats will win big. They'll take control of Congress just in time for those cuts to take effect, so that the GOP can point their finger and say "See what happens when you elect Democrats!"

Uhh.... no, you have it backwards. The gross money is the amount BEFORE the accounting shenanigans; the net is AFTER. A percentage of the net could be nothing after Hollywood accounting.

It is theoretically possible for the Democrats to attain the necessary 2/3rds (67) Senate majority in the midterms. For that to happen, the Democrats would need to win each and every Senate seat up for election this year. Extremely unlikely, but indeed possible.

Because they have lots and lots of cash. That means they get special treatment in the justice system, like nearly all wealthy types.

Corporal punishment *can* be useful, but must be used sparingly and only when absolutely necessary. I would use it only when my child was not responding to verbal warnings about an action that was physically dangerous to them. I can count on one hand the number of times I used it, and I still have fingers left over.

serviscope_minor is right... 20C is just under 70F, shirtsleeve temps. 12C is about 55F, light jacket for myself. I'm in MN btw.

Can confirm. Took a weekend getaway to Duluth one summer (I live in southern MN) and the temps were mid-70s. When I headed home again the temp rose quickly to the 90s as I left the North Shore.
