"It has been long believed that Type 2 diabetes is permanent and incurable. That turns out to be false."
Citation, please.
American Diabetes Association says otherwise: https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fada.com%2Fconditions%2Fdia...
CDC agrees, there is no cure: https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cdc.gov%2Fdiabetes%2Fa...
Mayo Clinic also agrees: https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mayoclinic.org%2Fdis...
So please, where's this "cure"? If you're referencing "reversing" or putting it into "remission" - that is a horrible, horrible choice of words, because all that means is that you are reversing your A1c back down to pre-diabetic or non-diabetic levels. Your body still has type 2 diabetes, and if you eat like a non-diabetic your blood glucose and A1c will go back up - it's just being managed it through diet, exercise, and possibly medication. It's not cured any more than not walking around cures people of needing a walker.
