In Egypt, Americans are treated different (for example, unless it's murder, they don't even get arrested).

For the record, I'm an EU citizen living in Egypt since 2006.

This is a factually incorrect claim. There is literally no VMS code inside any Microsoft operating system. None. Zilch. Nada. In case you still believe in your claim, please provide citation from a believable source.

There is a very easy way to try to falsify your statement. Should American police departments be also forbidden from using hand guns, since dictatorships use hand guns too?

The fact that you post this kind of idiotic claims is sad. The fact that you have the right to vote is scary.

Why do you keep painting Russia as an enemy?

Because it's a fact (an important one).

Who dictates this?

Common sense.

What do you get in return for doing this?

Awareness.

What is the goal?

Survival.

Why don't you know when to stop?

Stopping awareness and preparations while the danger increases is not an option.

Russia had the chance to come clean after the fall of the USSR and say

"Russia as a country was also a victim of the murderous totalitarian imperialist Soviet Union"

then build up a vibrant democracy with a tolerant and open society. Unfortunately, under Boris Yeltsin they choose the opposite, a process accelerated and expanded under Vladimir Putin.

I'm from Europe (European Union, to be precise). Who's this "we" you're making claims about? It certainly doesn't include me, my family, my friends, and a lot of people I read about in the EU media I may be reading. What you claim is true about the legal framework in Germany, but not in Romania.

So let's slow down with this uncritical embracing of the government as "we", of Germany as the whole EU, and of EU as the whole Europe.

let alone if they think it might cost them something.

So you're ok with the government imposing yet another cost and mandatory behavior on private companies? For no reason?

For no reason = neither the OP nor you have provided any justification whatsoever.
