Doctor Who (2005) Season 2 Episode 1

"The Doctor and Cassandra discover that the hospital houses thousands of pods containing artificially grown humans in what is supposedly the intensive care unit. The artificial humans are forcibly infected with every disease in the galaxy so that the Sisters can discover the cures as a way of dealing with the influx of settlers and the diseases they brought with them."

Yea, comcast/xfinity has horrendous upstream, in my area they are offering 1.2gb/25mb for $95 a month promotional pricing vs AT&T offering 1gb/1gb for $90 a month without a promotion. The differance is AT&T is fiber, and comcast is still copper.

I'm actually hoping I can replace my synergy setup with this. As an OG adopter, I'm disappointment in the direction symless has taken synergy 3, how they have abandoned synergy 1, never successfully added their promised features (drag and drop file transfers, multi-monitor support, etc) and now moved to a subscription model.

BS like this is why I, as a lifetime plex pass holder, completely abandoned plex in 2019. I got sick of they constantly adding all of these new monetizations and never actually fixing any of the long standing issues. No one asked of tidal integration, no one asked for ad supported content, no one asked for a digital move rental system.

In theory, it COULD be legal to put these in a bathroom, even a public one, IF the users of said bathroom are properly informed that it is all recorded and they consent, such as having big, obvious signs on the outside and inside of the bathroom that state as such, and tell you that by using this facility you consent to being recorded etc. The expectation of privacy can be waived. I see similar signs all over the place on gov installations, and on both public and gov/private computers. Now there may exist an exception that applies here that I am unaware of, but as I said, it would be something I am unaware of. I also don't think doing so would be ethical, and would likely cause some kind of outrage.

That really depends on several factors, such as:
1. the outcome of the lawsuit
2. the cost of defending the lawsuit
3. settlements, fines, damages, penalties, etc
4. cost of changes put in place to prevent it from happening again
5. amount of profit made by doing the possible illegal or unethical thing.

If 1+2+3+4 is X% less than 5, then 1-4 are just the cost of doing business.

TFB, this high res issue is because of Apple. If Apple supported RCS, or if Apple made imessage available to non Apple users, then this would not be an issue. Android users can send high res pictures and videos to each other all day using RCS. For proper interoperability, Apple either has to open it's walled garden of imessage to android, or allow imessage to send and receive messages with android users via RCS, instead of sticking to the outdated SMS, and MMS. Believe it or not, the only reason Android still has to support the old SMS and MMS is so that they can message iphones. Neither one of these solutions would degrade your experience on iPhone, only improve it, as you even if Apple just adds RCS support to imessage, you would still get full imessage support to other iphones.

A lot of my stuff is gonna be completely broken if X11 goes away. One thing that will affect me specifically is the loss of x11vnc, which is the only reliable vnc server I have found that is both easy to setup, easily automated, runs on :0, and has a very low latency. Every other one I have tried (tigervnc, tightvnc, realvnc, etc) either refuse to run on :0, will only run on :0 if run manually, randomly don't support , or are forced to generate a new random password every start making them effectively useless. Although this specific issue has more to do with the lack on interest in the continued development of VNC, and is not directly the fault of Wayland.

I can see this device having some benefit from an ergonomic perspective, and some people my just like the convenience. There is also the possibility that the first party accessory has some integration benefits. However, IMO the $200 price tag is way off, I would probably pay $99 for such a device, personally.
