Excellent piece in the new yorker

  • I think you meant quite loooonggg :D You're right about it being a good read though. It makes me wanna like Kerry and I don't like Dems. Well come to think of it I really don't like a lot of politicians :P Heck with it I'm going with the sig I keep seeing and voting for Cthulhu.

      • Hence why I phrased it as a look inside the Kerry camp. This piece is pretty much Kerry as he wants to present himself.

        If you want a more balanced look a group of Boston journalists recently released a book about him. Of course that's like 20 times as long, easily.

        Alternatively, you can watch News Hour and C-Span.
  • That was very interesting. I didn't know a lot of that stuff. It helped to clarify my differences with Kerry (I'm a pacifist, he's not), as well as to make me much more comfortable supporting him.

    Several things I like about Kerry, even though I disagree with him on principle: he's a real person (unlike his opponent, who is a ventriloquist's dummy, he might actually make some of his own decisions), he's a bona-fide hero, he's clearly very intelligent (how can any geek support an obvious idiot like Bush?),

  • I'll read the article later, and I'm probably going to vote Kerry anyway, but I just don't feel comfortable voting for someone that has participated in mutual masterbation in a coffin with George W Bush.
