Just enact a token tax on AI compute. Make it large enough to easily fund UBI for all the people thrown out of work and enough to subsidize pebble bed reactors at every data center.

While I do see the occasional AI slop in there and it's annoying, I think the product is still good. My own complain with it is that the course is too short, you'll finish it before getting to more advanced concepts or sentence structures, and then what?

Myself, I've restarted the course two times (using different "from" languages each time) in order to keep practicing, but when I finish this third round, there is no other language that I speak and can use to practice German. What's next then? What are you looking at?

Difficult is not equal to impossible. Heat can be used to boil working fluids, which can be used to drive turbines, which can create energy, which can in turn be used to run AI chips, which give off heat, which can then also be harvested to boil working fluids...Not really a perpetual motion machine, but the inefficiency in the system can be used to suck more heat out of the heat pumps anyway. Inefficiency in this case is a feature.

My answer to environmentalists claiming this is "You first". Stop being hypocrites, eliminate your own fossil fuel usage- including wasting fossil fuels storing articles like this in data centers.
