Except going to a web site on a mobile phone and trying to find anything useful is too difficult. Simply asking for the information is far easier.

If you're on a real computer then it's a bit easier, assuming there's any semblance of competency to the web site.

If I paste an image into Writer, the right and bottom sides of the image have thin gray lines, but not left and top. Can't get rid of them, either.

This does not happen if I paste the same image into Word so it's obviously related to Writer.

The type of image doesn't matter (jpg, png, etc). It happens to all of them.

That's right, it's not a statement. It's just a position. You either hold the position that it's ok to be dependent on a third party and it's ok to fail if that third party turns against you, or you hold the position that it's not ok and you would prefer to stay up no matter what adversaries want.

It only becomes a statement once you tell someone that security and reliability are among your values. ;-)

Scale isn't the main problem, interoperability is. If you've solved interoperability (i.e. you've got SPF, DKIM, etc working so gmail.com and outlook.com will receive emails sent from your system) then you're in good shape.

Not that running large systems is necessarily easy, but it doesn't have enemies the way interoperability has enemies. Scale is a merely conventional problem that Google and Microsoft aren't making worse for Linux users. Nobody's pushing back, trying to make you fail; your only foe is savage reality.

And man-vs-savage-reality is a pretty nice conflict to be involved in, compared to man-vs-man.

Only in the USA is the genomic data that valuable, and there is one sector of the economy who can benefit from it more than any other. Regeneron knows which industry that is, and while they aren't a direct part of it themselves they know they need to serve it.

Regeneron bought the data to eventually sell it to the Health Insurance Cartel. The Cartel was granted effective license to print money with the passage of the ACA, but they want more power. They still own an overwhelming majority of congress - on both sides of the aisle - but they want more power. With the genomic data they can start rewriting the rules on pre-existing conditions. As all other plans go up in price they can start offering plans that are less expensive if you consent to DNA testing, which will lead to treatment for some conditions being denied.

We can't win as long as the system is set up this way. We can't change it when the people who benefit from it control the people who set the rules.

While this is just a game, learning to predict and react to everything involved will lead to future developments. This could easily lead to robots being used in any situation where it has to interact with humans while navigating an area.

With enough training and better software, robots could expand into other areas of life such as in Japan where they are developing robots for use by and care for senior citizens.

Here's one based on a picture I have up: road construction. Instead of having humans sweating it out in the middle of July and August, have trained robots paving roads.

The Trump administration has been largely a copy-paste production. When they initially wanted to "replace" the ACA back during his first term, their plan was to replace the ACA with the ACA - made better by putting his signature at the end instead of the signature of President Obama. When they were finally called out on that, they quietly dropped their efforts to repeal the ACA, instead focusing on various things they can do in the name of "border security" (nevermind that no effort has been made this term for the wall that he used to talk nonstop about).

Surely whoever bills for Trump's services knows exactly what has been sent so far. Trump doesn't "work" for free.

Paper strips don't depend on anything to persist.
