It was. Look at other places which had just as much warning and nowhere near as many deaths because they took action. Let's say Australia for example. Less than 100 deaths. Go on. Feel free to adjust for population differences. Still not going to get anywhere near 60,000 people.

I fully expect America to be at 60,000 by next weekend (last weekend you were at 30,000. Today you are at 45,000). Barring something drastic I expect you will be at 120,000 deaths in 3 weeks.

TNG wasn't 10 out of 10 a lot of the time (the pilot definitely wasn't that great). You can demand high quality content, but you're going to miss out on a lot of good shows because you refuse to watch anything that isn't perfect.

My wife and I enjoy Simpsons enough that we are happy to pay for it while we work through 30 seasons (or however many seasons we get through until we go "this has lost its charm"). I believe I grew out of the Simpsons around season 12 so it will be interesting to see how far I get.
