No, it works. But it is just another tool that they use. The better the tools work, the more likely radiologists are going to find issues, and earlier. This means they are then more valuable for diagnostic work, and the demand is even higher. Until we start addressing the cause of high cancer rates, the need for diagnosis and cures will keep going up.

I have a 55-year old DNA tape that seems to have suffered some severe damage (due to an unrelated drinking problem). Can this straighten it out and get the processor running at full speed again?

Just like organic vegetables, there are not enough resources to feed everyone on the planet with organic chicken. Developing a cultured meat industry could provide access to high quality meat for many more people. I'm not saying that is what will happen in our ensh!ttification society, but it at least makes it possible.
