Nearly everywhere I call for help - doctor's offices, car dealerships, tech vendors, on and on - I get something that says, "This call may be recorded....". So why am I precluded from doing the same? It would allow me to push back against scams, intimidation, illegal threats etc. But the real reason is because Google doesnt want me to be able to, and of course, their judgement is better than mine, so my wants/needs/requirements be damned. I think its time to start looking at other phone OSes. I grow progressively more weary of Google's despotism. I am tired of being the product that they sell.
