Don't let it bother you. You are exactly correct on this one.

Been watching this since I was a kid.

Foreigners come to California. Buy up all the housing in the Bay Area pricing out the locals. Hire pretty much none of the locals.

They create offshore contracts back home with massive kick backs transferring billions in wealth from the United States along with high end technology developed in the United States which those countries then begin to use against us to influence our youth and our politics.

All of this is done tax free, out in the open, and we are told it is good for us, good for the economy, good for our gdp, good for tax revenue, but in reality your kid now has to pay double for housing and is stuck renting while his foreign bosses all buy up real estate and become "Americans" in only 5 years.

Our population has grown by 10 million since Covid began. 10 million is entire countries.

Do you guys really want to end up like China with 1.4 billion people?

Battery manufacturing is a race to the bottom. Over the past quarter century energy density has become 10x better. At the current rate of improvement even the cheapest piece of shit hand me down will be able to hold such a large charge that energy will be everywhere. You will find yourself installing battery battery packs in the space between the 2x4s in your wall that cost like $15 and each one being capable of running your entire house for 4 hours. A century later one pack will be able to run your entire house for 20 hours. We are on the cusp of some insane energy densities.

This software has been available for Canon cameras for over a decade.

Historically Canon nerfs it's own cameras by disabling recording on-device after 30 minutes. This makes it so that the device is classified as a Camera instead of a videocamera which has different taxation and tariffs. This has a huge effect on professional photographers that travel a lot. However the loop hole that professionals have been using forever is that you plug the HDMI into your own recording device like say a Atomos Ninja V and you have yourself a videocamera. Or an HDMI capture device on your computer. Whatever. This works for pretty much every Canon body I've ever seen.

Well this explains why you're such a fucking dumbass. You still think it's 1995.

Cloud based hosting solutions save money on paying your staff by orders of magnitude. They are also more efficient. I know because I helped deploy fleets of video on demand servers when I worked at [major cable company] and we found that hosting on AWS provided a 15-20% increase in traffic capacity for 80% of the cost of self hosting.

People on /. are literally dumber for having read your comment.

It is when the government will not issue a regular Joe schmoe a business license. That's it.

Commie countries throw grandmas in prison for selling eggs on the side of a road.

So no it's not central planning. Any country with a federal reserve style bank has central planning. What exactly do you think interest rates are?

Please take an economics night class at your local community college. And a political philosophy class couldn't hurt.
