Journal Zarf's Journal: Mouse Tray Replacement "Do it yer-self kit" 4
So I have a keyboard tray on my new desk that is fine for a keyboard but has no mousing surface. I want something like this.
But I'm too cheap to buy it. Solution: A drill, a bolt, a 3M mousing platform, a mess of washers and a locking nut for the end of the bolt... and a dremel. I'll punch a hole in the rigid 3M mousing platform and the keyboard tray, place washers over the openings and a whole mess of spacer washers between the keyboard tray and the mousing platform... fasten with bolt and locking nut and use the dremel to cut off the extra bolt thread. Viola instant mousing platform. Now ... where do I find a rigid mousing tray and a mess of spacer washers... or a silicone locking bolt? I guess I'd better find the Home Depot around here.
