For example, after the EU-based International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defense minister, Yoav Gallan, for war crimes, President Donald Trump issued ICC sanctions. This order allegedly prompted Microsoft to lock the ICC's Chief Prosecutor, Karim Khan, out of his email accounts, according to reports.

Switching to libre office wont prevent this ?
there a whole on of backend infrastructure here, not just which office suite Sue from accounts uses to open the latest figures for June.
And on the topic of email, Gmail and ms mail have email locked down so hard that it's difficult for any sane person to do email now. ms and google control email to a large extent.

You are right. They donâ(TM)t care. Thatâ(TM)s the point. These kind of folks donâ(TM)t want to even have to not think about these things. Not to say anything about managing disk space, and getting your download to your TV from your server. These people live in the land of Monkey See Icon - monkey Click Play. So streaming boxes are great for them. These are the kind of people that struggle to find the pdf file they just downloaded. Good luck getting them to hunt down private trackers and configured torrent clients. The people that were already doing this are still doing it.

I wouldn't have thought so. These types of users typically wouldn't have bothered with torrenting or whatever method to get the stuff, and curate it. They are in my experience the kind that gets confused when they are faced with 5 different rips from different release groups in h264 or x265 1080 or 2160p webrip , bluray multi etc. They aren't gonna worry about maintaining ratios or seeking invites to quality trackers. They want a netflix type solution. Gabe said itright, it's not a cost problem, it's a service delivery problem. The pirates that don't mind maintaining theor own libraries, etc running Plex or what not are still doing this.

A revealing comment. I donâ(TM)t think âthe algorithmâ(TM) gives a hoot what users want to spend their time looking at. They donâ(TM)t care as long as you are looking.

Like wtf people?? Who cares about this. Step away from your computers and smart devices. Get a life. Stop wasting time being brain-pumped by this absolute nonsense and go outside. Itâ(TM)s barely a level above or below giving a crap what happens in your soap opera or Love Island. Itâ(TM)s so sad to see. You are being farmed and for what? Searching, as well For some reason, recently searching even for explicit literal terms, that I KNOW are in my notes returns zero results. For example I have a note of some servers and details, i search for the hostname or the ip (which is in the note) and nothing turns up. I have to search for 'web server' which is also in the note for it to find the note. It's utterly braindead. Notes should be a first tier search target. Another example of Apples quality sucking and degrading the user experience.

While I'm at it there also seems to be no way to share an email to a Note. Or sare anthing to a note of user really. I would quite like to share thingsto notes for later, like a scrapbook. If only they had a scrapbook app. Oh wait i think they did 30 years ago.

Weird.

This is I think the coined definition of vibe coding here: https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fx.com%2Fkarpathy%2Fstatus%2F1886192184808149383%3Flang%3Den-GB

while I'm here what's with people using enshittification to mean 'become shitty'. It has a specific meaning which is more nuanced than 'become shitty'

Enshittification, also known as crapification and platform decay, is a pattern in which two-sided online products and services decline in quality over time. Coined by Cory Doctorow.

Gee i always wondered how it worked.

But do the hobbyists really feed it into commercial manchines ? I'd have thought the professionals fed it into the commerical machines, and hobbyists fed it into hobbyist machines.
