I was thinking about a way to make a free speech service that would adhere to the 1st amendment and the only thing I could come up with is if the government ran it's own social media service kind of like they do in China only without the censorship. We can call it USChat! I don't think it would take too long before police start showing up at peoples houses because of some stupid crap they posted.

It's Daniel Tiger in my house. The living room TV has 2 toddler approved states, Daniel Tiger and Off. If the TV is in a non-approved state the toddler will grab the remote and chew on it until the situation is resolved.

That's the only excuse I can think of and I admit it's pretty weak. So either the officers involved were not big enough Star Wars fans or were too big of Star Wars fans to handle the situation in a reasonable manner.

I guess it didn't have the orange tip on the barrel to show it was a toy. I think it was a bad idea to have the lady walking around with a blaster given the gun situation in Canada now but I think the cops reaction was way over the line.
