Nowadays, you get a cheap 10 episodes then have to wait 2 to 3 years later (especially fucking Apple+ for Severence, Pluribus, Silo, etc). It's a ripoff.

I have a 2011 MacBook Pro (MBP) whose operating system abandoned it a while ago. Installed Ubuntu Linux on my MBP and still use it today! I was particularly impressed that my Wacom Intuos 2 tablet works 100% (including tip pressure and tilt) on Ubuntu, as Wacom abandoned this tablet with lack of Windows 11 driver support a while ago! No extra drivers nothing, just plugged in the tablet and it worked.

When we do attempt to change DST, we get this continuous stream of bullshit excuses from lawmakers instead. Some vague "federal government" issue, so all legislatures just sit there and go back to lining their pockets with money. And the average person is content to just sit there and post messages twice a year on some social media, then go back to dealing with DST.

Yes, and let's look at photography today. Billions upon billions of images already "out there" on the internet, and now AI can spew out even more variants of that. Took a picture which everyone likes and is novel? Well guess what, millions of copy-cat images will pop up, AI will train on it and spew tons of very close variations of this image, and leave your original wonderful image drown in the "noise" and fade immediately into obscurity. Leaving the photographer wondering "why am I doing this again?"

Wrong. I modified my diet to reduce calories and lost weight. A year or two later, I ate _THE EXACT SAME THING_ and GAINED weight. I had to re-modify (lower again) my calorie intake to lose weight I regained. Again, a study shows that fat cells will reprogram themselves after you lose weight to store more calories (and gain weight back, hence the yo-yo effect). And that was just a study with fat cells, I'm quite sure the rest of my body (especially my brain) was altering itself to regain the weight I just lost.

So no, it isn't just a "life style" change. It's a life long struggle to fight what your body naturally wants to do and keep itself at the same high weight it was before.

There are more and more things out there which have non-replaceable batteries. Garmin Forerunner? Non-replaceable, toss when batteries are done. Waterpik? Non-replaceable, toss when batteries are done. It isn't just rings which are filling up the landfill, and fast!

So if a photo has been edited by AI based tools, including from Adobe, is it fair to identify it as AI based? That includes AI based tools such as photo sharpening and removing of elements... If not, why not?
