Just a matter of time before Jellyfin does the same as Plex and there's a whole different server setup to move to. Seems to happen again and again.

And the new M-Series doesn't support a lot of them. There's no support for eGPU or other GPUs. The Mac Studio already has Thunderbolt 5, which offers the big throughput you'd likely turn to PCIE for.
The Mac Studio replaced the Pro for 95% of buyers, and that was a small market to start with.
The Mac Studio largely filled the space. And let's be real, the Pro has been on the back burner for more than a decade. It's never been something they ever believed would sell in numbers.
Average person wouldn't even know what the terminal is, much less how to go about running terminal commands. And anyone that knows what the terminal is, should be smart enough to know not to run terminal commands from any website, even ones you trust.
Think most would rather take the big payday for finding such than go the route you suggested.
That was already known. Those are literally the reasons cited by the board when they removed him. Heck, it was talked about extensively throughout the book Empire of AI: Dreams and Nightmares in Sam Altman's OpenAI. This isn't news.
Love the story of the Canadian developer MikeRoweSoft and the lawsuit Microsoft filed. In the end, he gave them the domain and as part of the settlement, Microsoft paid all of Rowe's expenses, gave him a subscription to the Microsoft Developer Network, provided an all-expenses-paid trip to the Microsoft Research Tech Fest, offered Microsoft certification training, and gave him an Xbox with games.

Exactly. You can name your bakery Fords but good luck trying to start a car company called Fords. Apple and Apple Records worked out their trademark overlap, which wasn't an issue for decades as they were in different industries, when the computer maker got into the music industry.
They aren't claiming they own the word 'Automatic' in every case. Just in the WordPress area or likely related areas. It's much like you can name your bakery Fords but you couldn't start a car company called Fords. These trademarks apply within the same or similar industries. It was one of the issues that Apple worked through with Apple Records. Things were fine when they were in two completely different industries but when Apple Computer got into the music business, they had to work things out with Apple Records.
I'd assume Automattic has a case here, as it is within the same industry.
Apple's free services cover nearly everything that T-Satilite does, with the exception of allowing certain apps to access it. Text messaging, sharing locations, roadside assistance, and SOS emergency services are all free with Apple. Anyone with a compatible device would be hard pressed to find $10/month in value just to allow a couple apps to work in remote areas. Nearly every one of those apps have an offline mode that does nearly everything one would need out in the middle of nowhere.
I was referring to in the article:
"In July, T-Mobile launched its "T-Satellite" service to customers across the US for $10 per month, allowing both T-Mobile and non-T-Mobile customers to send messages, share their location, and access select apps over satellite."
Apple allows all newer iPhone users to send messages, share their location, contact roadside emergencies, and contact emergency services over satellite. They may end the free service in the future but for right now it's free for the next couple years.
Can't imagine paying $10 a month for that. You'd really have to be off-grid all the time to make it worth such. I'll stick with the free satellite texting Apple provides to iPhone users. Tried it in a plane while over the Atlantic and was able to text friends without issue. Rather impressive.
You can literally go to the report and see that. It has the website and who requested the removal.
Any hardware that can't be updated to at least minimum of iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, macOS 13.1, tvOS 16.2, or watchOS 9.2 will lose compatibility with HomeKit at that time.
There's no list of non-Apple devices because they'll remain compatible as long as they're updated for support for the new HomeKit version. That's no Apple's call to make. That's all up to your device maker or bridge maker.
Exactly. And that by using an AI agent it means they can't monetize with advertisements because the AI is never going to click such. Likely not ideal for their analytics either.
