Between Ticket Master and Live Nation I'm assumption is that I'm getting robbed at every turn.

We just came back from Pax East and it was amazing. That place was filled to the brim with people. As for the mask mandates, considering that before covid, everybody was getting "Pax Pox" I'll continue to wear a mask anyway.

It's time to sell the company to Elon and retire.

Just be remembered for Facebook and amihotornot, as opposed to a dystopic VR system with Nintendo 64 graphics, and retire with your reputation as intact as it will ever be.

Things continue to get rougher. They're "mudding" it in in the spring, the summers are brutal hot and then there's barely a fall before the winter hammer falls.

This guy helped me write all the code I ever stole from Stackoverflow.

It's well known that the KH telescopes and the hubble have a lot of similar parts... The optics are the special sauce at this point, it's the image processing, etc.

"Obviously, not easy for a creative ad agency"

I see a creative ad agency as one of the... easiest... to work from home.

Try doing it with a manufacturing plant, delivery service, or restaurant.

To simply go to the school playground and just toss them randomly... that's where they're going to end up anyway.

Airpods are the worst and people shouldn't buy them.

This was exactly my thought... now they'll just start chumming the water with Albatross guts... If only we had some type of imaging system that could, I don't know, sit in space and watch a region really really accurately and take pictures...

YouTube is a privately company that doesn't have to explain shit. It can do any arbitrary thing it wants, it's their platform. I understand it sucks, but you've hitched your wagon to a horse you don't control and are now bitching the horse has pitched you over a cliff.

Yeah, it would be nice if they explained their actions, but they're under zero obligation to do that.

I'm glad I picked one of these up cheap for $40 six months ago... my kids have had a great time... I'm getting the sense this thing is now going to be a brick.

I hope Anki enhances their SDK or does something so we can continue to enjoy the Cosmo robot.

You should acquaint yourself with the basic facts of the story instead of relying on Reason Magazine. The "learn to code" shit was included in a barrage of death threats from 4chan users. https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nbcnews.com%2Ftech%2Ft...

We've carefully considered your needs as a customer and after consulting with our lawyers, our response is "FUCK OFF WANKERS."

I get it's a security issue, but

1. Let the users know you're going to be disabling the interface.
2. Have it be disabled by default and force the user to go through a bunch of loopholes to turn it back on.

The fact they pulled the rug out from under the users feet is hella shitty.

Just imagine you've got a vacation house in another state and you're using this solution to control thermostats and lights, etc.

So Google embraced some new piece of technology, extended it and then used that to extinguish the competition.

Where have I heard of a company doing that?!?

I love it when Microsoft gets to eat the same shit sandwich they've feed to so many others.

With a spinning disk, you'll usually get an indication of a problem with a plethora of S.M.A.R.T errors.

It's been my experience that when an SSD dies... you just suddenly appear to have an empty drive cage. It's a really ugly binary failure.

I've taken to building my boxes with mirrored SSD's combined with taking and validating my backups.
