I refuse to use Chrome, for obvious reasons, and I'm using Firefox. It works well, but the constant addition of crap by Mozilla is very annoying. Does ladybird support uBlock? No uBlock, no party. If uBlock works or if there is anything just as effective as that for ladybird, count me in! If I have to see ads, that browser is not for me.

Well, at least this is opt-in and it might actually be useful, unlike the AI crap they tried to introduce recently which you could only disable by changing user prefs manually.
Seriously, why do they keep adding stuff to Firefox? It works. Just update the engine to keep up with standards. No genXYZABCDE++ person is going to use it anyhow (they only know Chrome), regardless of how much crap they add, so keep it functional and stop messing things up!
Can anyone recommend a browser which is not using Chrome as backend, conforms to standards and does not force AI crap? And which has a functional unlock, naturally!

If idiots from gen XYZABCDEFwhatever don't know how to download content for offline use, shame on them. I'd rather NOT listen or watch anything with ads (or this DJ crap from google). If I cannot have something offline, it is not worth my time. The idiots can go watch tiktok or some crap like that. No thanks.

The usual venture capitalist with a silly idea, which would only work in their idealised world of "everyone lives in a city, connected 24 hours a day, drinking coffee on the street because they have no time, with no brains required, other than to sign up to subscription services". I.e. the typical American Office worker. Let's get ready for stranded cars unable to connect to the servers, ddos attacks, police baffled by the missing driver when some accident happens, drivers sitting in India driving a car in Germany, network lag, etc. At least we will get to laugh and the failure videos which will start appearing soon, no doubt. Hopefully it won't take many victims before the whole thing collapses (though they will probably run out of funds pretty soon... Profitability never enters in these tech-bros minds). If you want to reduce car ownership, improve public transportation, though I know it is a foreign concept in the US. Too socialist for the greatest country on earth, eh? What will be next? Plug a chip in your brain so that you can work without going out of the house at all? Ideally, Drip-feeding the living corpse at home? And a subscription for the privilege, of course. Soon courts will start using AI to review cases and so they will miss all the fake references. I'm surprised they are still able to catch them. Disbar any lawyer doing this and you will see them suddenly putting in some real work. Monetary damages are useless. Lawyers already get tons of money. Losing a few tens of thousands is just pocket change. It would be like fining Apple for 10 million dollars for something. Pocket change, who cares. Stop them selling iPhones? That will make them take notice.

What is TikTok? Am I alone in never having visited TikTok? I remember when it came out. I looked at reports of what it was and decided it was complete rubbish. I am happy I never changed my mind. It appears TikTok is becoming radioactively toxic rubbish. Hands up who never touched the stuff!

If you want longer battery life, then don't get an iPhone. There are plenty of bigger phones with batteries that last for days. They are not Apple. They work. They are cheaper. Or are you in a cult, where only iPhones are allowed? Then stop complaining and follow your Apple guru and buy a new phone every year. Apple needs money!

So, the supposedly "great" founding fathers chose to establish a Supreme Court where its members are political appointees by the president (and for life!). Did they think a president would appoint members based on their competency? When has this ever happened? Naturally, the Supreme Court will follow the political ideology of its members. The US will never be democratic while their Supreme body is not. It is a fundamentally broken system, unfixable under the present constitution. complaining about single rulings is pointless: it is a system designed to drift towards authoritarianism. In an ideal world, politicians appointing judges, and the judges themselves, would think of the common good. When has this ever happened? They must have been high while writing the constitution. But go on believing you live in a democracy. The rest of the world is enjoying the shitshow of the final crumbling of the US. Every empire eventually falls. This is the time of the US. China will take much longer, I expect, but they will of course also crumble eventually. Next time someone sets up a new country, they might consider learning from history, since the same has happened countless times. Now let's enjoy the deniers denying. History doesn't care. You can't stop a running river with propaganda.

You can't expect too much in a 3rd world country like the US. People living in it are so brainwashed that they think it is as wonderful as North Korea, but the rest of the world is not fooled. Go and enjoy your amazing capitalism. Luckier people live in proper countries with decent social services and public transportation (like Western Europe). Thankfully, the younger generations in the US are finally starting to wake up to the realities of the American Nightmare and warming up to socialism, but far too late, I'm afraid. People might wax lyrical about AI images and videos, but so far, it can only fool people with reduced mental capability, which is what AI is turning humans into, I guess. luckily, the bubble seems to be bursting now. Are there actually people who look at LinkedIn posts? On the extremely rare occasions when I go on LinkedIn, like when I'm looking for a job (you never know, mostly to know which companies are recuiting), I see that there are people posting idiotic crap. I always thought the slop was basically ignored by everyone? I guess there's one born every day and with the rise of AI (=Artificial Idiocy) it'll be worse and worse.

Regardless of conspiracy theories or speculations, here we have yet another boeing going down. So much for US-is-best-and-US-manufacturing-is-best. Perhaps it was human error, but I'm certainly not Boarding a boeing flight any time soon...

I don't know how much of an idiot one has to be to not see immediately that it's an AI video. All the AI videos I've seen so far, including the ones mentioned in this article, look like crap and are just off. Anyone thinking them real must have a very underwhelming sense of reality.
