The run away inflation scenario you describe would only happen if the money supply grew as exponentially, which no competent central bank will allow to happen.

To be sure, minimum wage will contribute to inflation, but not in any catastrophic sort of way. Earning minimum wage does not mean a person will suddenly be able to afford to pay double for basics such as food, healthcare, transport etc. Earning at that level pretty much just means a person makes just enough to scrap by and not starve or die in the cold.

The goal of minimum wage is not to make anyone rich, rather it is to ensure a minimum standard of living among those who work at the lowest rung and the money for this increased payroll to come from corporate profits.

I think it's because the Roomba is autonomous, where as the Washing Machine is comparable to a Vacuum Cleaner -- a user is required to operate it.

If they made a Washing Machine that would load, sort, dry and fold your laundry all by itself, and all you had to do was sporadically top up the consumables and empty out the trap, i think it would qualify as a robot too.

Yep. Each time the so called libertarians come out with their spiel, I am reminded of the quote "In a democracy your vote counts, in feudalism your count votes."

Essentially they want the world to go back to an era when the rich and endowed had all the power and the poor could go get fucked.

Main reason is that a more contemporary DSLR sensor is actually more sensitive even tho it's surface area is smaller due to advances in semiconductor fabrication etc. On top of that, a new camera would have a much better image processor.

At the end of the day, what we want to achieve is not just high sensitivity in low light, but vibrancy of colour and fine detail in low light.

In the end, Groupon is just a marketing tool. It's up to you to be smart about using it. If repeat business does not happen, it's more likely a weakness of your business model than Groupon's fault.

I once bought a coupon for a restaurant. The food was bad and when I complained, I was insulted by the owner.

Needless to say, I did not go back, and it's really not Groupons fault.

You're looking at it the wrong way. The device works, but like most things man made, it has shortcomings. Imagine the learning experience the kids will have in overcoming these limitations.

What if the next version of the R-Pi contains a fix to these problems developed by a bunch of kids in one of those schools? Wouldn't that be cool?
