Which is good distro?

Recently [1] I have been using/loving MX Linux (XFCE version).

For 20+ years I had been using/following an RPM-based distribution through several name changes and a couple forks. MX Linux was easy to install (my nVidia graphics board didn't cause problems) after I used the downloaded .iso file to burn an install DVD instead of a thumb drive. BTW, Linux users may be able to install and play MS-Windows-only games on Steam. https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.howtogeek.com%2F7389... (July 16, 2021, but still valid)

Submission + - Online-only lenders and bank insurance

Typing_Ptarmigan writes: Online-only lenders' ties to bank insurance can be tenuous.

"The turmoil was set off this spring with the bankruptcy of Synapse Technology, the kind of company you’ve probably never heard of unless you suffered through all the fine print of your account statements. It operated banking software for fast-growing online lenders with names like Juno, Yieldstreet and Yotta."

Submission + - Classified Documents Case Against Donald Trump Dismissed (pjmedia.com)

An anonymous reader writes: Cannon granted former President Trump's motion to dismiss the indictment against him, citing the unlawful appointment and funding of Special Counsel Jack Smith. The judge ruled that Smith's appointment violated the Appointments Clause of the U.S. Constitution, leading to the dismissal of the superseding indictment. Additionally, the court found that Smith's use of a permanent, indefinite appropriation violated the Appropriations Clause, though it did not address the remedy for this violation.

In early April, Judge Cannon had rejected Trump's previous attempt to dismiss the case, which was based on the argument that the documents found at his estate were personal records. Trump had filed multiple motions for dismissal back in February, employing various arguments, such as asserting presidential immunity and questioning the legitimacy of Smith's appointment.

Merrick Garland handpicked Jack Smith in November to investigate former President Donald J. Trump over the alleged mishandling of classified documents and the ridiculous case over the Capitol riot.

Seattle's bums/addicts don't care about the "loss" of Jeff Bezos's taxes: fentanyl is cheap, Seattle provides free pipes, etc., Seattle Fire Department has Naloxone to revive the near-dead, Seattle tolerates bums/addicts on the sidewalks, in the parks, under the bridges, in green spaces, in broken-down RVs on the streets, in vacant buildings, etc., and the recent US Supreme Court Grant's Pass decision doesn't matter to Seattle's politicians. Tourists apparently are shocked.
