Will Ubuntu become the next Firefox or will its flair lose interest?

I've been wondering about this since the turn of the year.

Linspire and Libranet both rode in on horseback with their swords high, stirred up all sorts of commotion with their ruckus, then moved on out of town. In the end, they left with a few women and a handful of money.

Perhaps the unfamiliar 'U' alone will keep Ubuntu on the forefront.

Hmm....

Will Firefox keep its flair after making some really stupid decisions?

Will mass media ever actually investigate the situation before reposting their own crap?
