Clinton approved selling chip capabilities to chip snd allowed money-hungry fuck-tomorrow god damned shit breathing MBAs sell-of the tech manufacturing industry.

So, here we are with a minimal chip capability. The MBA mind-set is gratification first, fuck the future, and completely wrong.

Don't believe it? Open some history books. After the MBA programs started, US industrial infrastructure stopped being an investiment. America's manufacturing and textiles and heavy industry started moving overseas.

We've become little more than a service economy servicing each other.

If someone thinks they need tariffs to stay afloat, they've already lost. The should have been to change the MBA goal away from making a fast buck at any price.

I used reddit quite a bit after Digg got so fricking stupid. It was awesome at the time. I bailed when they turned into little girls and decided they needed to clean up the internet. I went to voat where things were even better than they'd been at Reddit.

But Reddit's alt-hater purges turned Voat into a cesspit.

I stick to darkweb, now.

Submission + - World's first mass-producible nuclear reactor set for testing by US startup (interestingengineering.com)

walterbyrd writes: The reactor, known as Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt microreactor engineered for modularity, rapid deployment, and diesel-generator replacement.

The size is basically a truck-trailer, and they hope to produce 50 per year.

Industry analysts view Kaleidos as a key player in the emerging field of tactical and off-grid nuclear energy, an area of strategic interest for national defense planners and climate-focused investors.

And you missed the final portion of his message where he describes issues surrounding a translated maintenance manual.

His upset is at the possibility of them having the AI make the translation more local to the target language rather than using the exact translation (tweaked, of course to read grammatically in the target language). He objects to any cultural changes to make the content closer to that of the target culture, which is fucking stupid, since that's why people want the original translated: To view the content as it was intended, not some Frankenstein BS version of the original using colloquialisms and settings/etc. from the target language.

Perhaps some reading comprehension revision is in order?

So says the guy who has the time and energy to cart around >15000 books at every move. That's not me anymore. I have local digital copies of several thousand volumes I couldn't do without.

I gave the rest to someone with the energy to deal with them. It was damned hard parting with books I'd treasured for decades. But time catches everyone, eventually. Hence, rhe number of less-sighted seniors (and others) making every book large-type.

Don't be so quick to generalize. It will usually blow back on you.
