Here is his education:

"Chandrasekaran earned a bachelorâ(TM)s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Madras; a masterâ(TM)s degree and a doctorate in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University; a masterâ(TM)s degree in information and data science from the University of California, Berkeley; and dual executive MBAs from the University of California, Los Angeles, and the National University of Singapore.

You may have a point if he was some MBA from Harvard with no other credentials. With his resume, I'd tend to believe he's making a real attempt at reducing the bloat and getting back to core strengths of a once great company.

Or this hastens the demise of Intel. Death by a thousand cuts or dramatic actions in an attempt to save it.

Ok - EVs don't work for everyone in every place. We all know already.

Economics has shown time and again that when there's demand, the supply with catch up. My region of the US has a high EV adoption rate, level 2 (around 30 miles of charge/hour) and level 3 (DC fast charge) are quite common. Many larger companies have installed charge stations for their employees and more and more shopping centers have them as well.

If GM (or some other OEM) has a battery breakthrough in the next couple of years, adoption of EVs will grow even more. This will spur entrepreneurs to invest in charging stations.

As for the cold.. yeah the range goes down but I also experienced that with ICE vehicles as well but mainly due to the gasoline blend they offered during colder months.
