Get a blue collar job and wife quit her job going to be real hard to pay the bills in this terrible economy and add in now going to have to pay for a decent education for your kids. Current administration going hard in immigrants who did all the low wage jobs, so who's going to fill those positions. Well without Dept of Education kids who didn't get a good education will. People wemt nuts and slowly calmed down as more software started doing the same thing. PC software was starting to be sold like mainframe software always was.

As usual people brought this on themselves, software was expense but easy to copy and give to others. Companies would buy ten copies for a a hundred employees and people started copying all software cheap or expensive and sharing it. So this was how the software companies retaliated so they could revoke your license. Moving forward nothing changed and now we stuck with subscriptions and in music streaming. To me the worst is cloud license scheme so I have to be connected to internet to use my software. People have really screwed themselves.

Spent most my life in L.A. and left after I retired because of all the traffic making was used to ten, fifteen minutes drives to an hour or more. So a rail system that you still have to drive all the way across town to get to a Metro station to take you out to the new rail station is a joke. From where I lived I could just drive to LAX in a half hour and catch a jet to Vegas about a 40 minute flight.

The thing basically should of gone South from Sacramento to San Francisco down to Los Angeles on to Orange County finishing going down to San Diego. Then a hub to go east to Las Vegas from L.A. A whole lot of business commuters and tourists would ride a rail system like that.

Gentrification is sucking the soul out of little communities. What used to be a ten minute drive from my house in Venice to Santa Monica is almost an hour now the traffic is so bad. The vegans tended to be health obsessed so were also the ones that did exercise regularly, which probably did more for them than being vegan.

I will go vegetarian for months at a time keeping dairy products helps get protein and B12 into the diet vegans run low on. But I do best in when eating limited meat, mainly poultry and some fish and rest typical fare. I do exercise regularly nothing crazy and it seems to work. I hated the whole mess and decided leave if they don't reassign me. So they have me go to a meeting with the new manager and long story, short I told him you're not tech and if I have to work for you I will quit.
The guy was upset, but respected I was so up front with him and he said he'd do what he could to get me back to my old department. So I got to go back to my old manager who was now running a really cool group. They sent another guy to that other position and in nine months that department flopped and was disbanded everyone let go.

So just because you managed some non-tech department doesn't mean you know how to manage tech.
