Ounces and pounds -- like inches, feet and yards -- are human-size measurement units. The Metric system was a device of Napoleonic elites to enhance their power over commoners.  Still is ! For pure scientific measurement, power-of-10 systems have a big advantage. For everyday human activities with legs/nose/mouth/hands/arms/feet the ouncers win by a mile (1.609 km). You DO SEE the issue I imagine ...

Oblivious to live creation? Palsy, your musical tastes have been corrupted. Wouldn't be surprised if you also prefer DVDs to records, Marantz speakers and McIntosh tube pre-amps. AI artwork ( music/text/images ) ought to be treated like faux-synthetic-beef product . And  producers punished!  The prudent , value aware consumer does not consume items from either of those product classes.  If you cannot afford corn-fed American beef ( or wild-caught salmon/haddock etc ), then save up for it . One steak and one fresh fish a week is fine ... lots of grain/veggie/cheeze/bean options for the other days. Yes, one-day a week McMac or KFC is fine. Likewise, experience local-made music  and art in person. Or take a bus to a major city gallery museum. BTW/// Same with porn ... patronize local strip-clubs rather than AI-created video clips. Exercising agency adds value to any human, while  punishing ( by with-holding $$$ ) producers of synthetic reality stands as a great cultural virtue.

Yes -- vote against a behavior with your $$ -- that's the way a market-economy based culture ought to self-govern financials as well as politics. But, post-mod America has empowered so many entitled and protected sub-classes that ANY complaint from a class-member -- no matter how snotty -- removes the $$-vote from non-class-member agency. If a business ( bar/insurance/diner/eyewear/etcetc ) is owned by a member of a "protected" class, then anyone who leaves the business because of weak privacy arrangements will ( in BLUE states ) be charged with a "hate" crime, just as if  she had shot-down an attacking/carjacking/mugging Bantu.
