When I lived in Indianola, Iowa I had 100/100 over fiber. It was offered through contract by Mahaska Communications Group, the city owned the fiber. I paid $50/month, after I moved they began offering 1000/1000 for $70/month. Had around a 9ms ping in the US.

I lived in Indianola Iowa and the city owns the fiber ran next to their totally underground power network. They lease access to Mahaska Communications Group out of Oskaloosa Iowa who then sells Internet access at ridiculously good rates. I paid $50/month for 100/100 with a 10ms ping and NO cap.

Precisely why I have the connection I have. Local municipal laid fiber when they put their power infrastructure underground and licensed it to another local ISP. They charge $50/month (flat $50, no BS fees or anything) for 100/100. Its not gigabit, but more bandwidth than I've found a use for yet.
