Journal Journal: Let's wait and see

Ok, so I have my posting privledges back from the places I was restricted from. I have made 3 posts since I have discovered this... two are +3 Interesting/Insightful, and the third, which I only posted a couple of hours ago is at +2 Interesting (It has gone as high as +5).

Here is my prediction. The last post I made is now constantly getting modded up, then back down as "Overrated". If this moderation system is as broke as I think it is, those "Overrated" mods will count against me in some pool of "dirty points". When some magical number is exceeded, I will be banned. My feeling is that while negative mods add to dirty points, positive mods do not taketh away. Well see.

Journal Journal: Stupidity runs amok! 1

Yep. Banned again.

Due to excessive bad posting from this IP or Subnet, comment posting has temporarily been disabled. If it's you, consider this a chance to sit in the timeout corner . If it's someone else, this is a chance to hunt them down. If you think this is unfair, please email moderation@slashdot.org with your MD5'd IPID and SubnetID, which are "b8690e61585b156091065d4ba84649a9" and "c28a3baaf7d76466113b6358eb58324c" and (optionally, but preferably) your IP number "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" and your username "TheRealMindChild".

The only thing I can think that triggered this was the that my last two posts were modded to -1 and 0, respectively. It was friday and I was trying to be funny. Regardless, the banning filter is obviously the biggest piece of shit since Fred Durst. Either way, the error message is largely bogus (My subnet is NOT Banned. Coworkers can still use their accounts... it is just MY account on THIS subnet. I can still post from home. I can still use an anonymous proxy. QUALITY CODING FOR YOU!). So, piss on you, poor retarded slashdot coders. Ill just use an anonymous proxy by default.

Journal Journal: Fuck you Malda

So, no more than an hour after I posted this:

http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=157737&cid=13216939

I can no longer post anymore.

How appropriate. Funny how this happens EVERY SINGLE TIME I bitch at the elitests of slashdot. My karma hasn't MOVED from Excellent since I got it there days after I registered. I OWN my subnet. My modded down (below 2) posts consit of about 5% of all of my posting. The rest stay at 2 or get modded up. The bullshit reason doesn't fly. So much for free speech, eh?

So you know what CmdrTaco... you are a fat loser, and your self esteem problems obviously bleed into other places of your life... even your job. So thanks for nothing, your worthless mountain of rotting pig flesh.

Journal Journal: Take your spelling and jam it up your rectum 3

I am completely sick and tired of people pointing out spelling and grammar mistakes. Especially when it was due to a typo.

Look people... most of you cant use a comma. Most of you are confused by proper casing. ALL of you do NOT speak even close to perfect english. I notice this phenomenon get excruciatingly used when someone has no room to complain or few to no facts to back up an arguement.

Yes, I spell badly. I type even worse. I neglect all apostrophes, but use commas excessively. For you to correct me, you know exactally what I mean. 100% of people in the real world will hate you if the only reply to anything they said was comments on how they mispronounced a word, or even used "who" instead of "whom".

Let it go.

Journal Journal: Slashdot Moderation Rediculousness Followp

I have since been allowed to post again. What is goofy about the whole situation is that I was able to post from home about a week before I could post here at work.

To those who have posted comments to the original journal entry, pointing out moderation had nothing to do with one of the two posts I implicated, that was my fault. I wrng used the word moderation... well, maybe. What I meant by that was simply those who fall in the category of "moderator", used their influence/power to squelch me... not that actual point had anything to do with it. I think we pretty much established that they dont. Im beginning to wonder if that is why we can only see pointers to what we posted back only up to 30 days.

Journal Journal: Slashdot Moderation Rediculousness 4

I have long thought the people who bitched about unfair Karma ranking (Funny points not really points, but having them taken away actually takes real points away, or unseen pull that Low UID users have) to be silly. After all, if you arent a complete ass, you arent going to be posting at the bottom of the chain.

Then I posted this: http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=117319&cid=9921696

Funny... I cant post anonymously only about an hour after this. Here is the message I got:

Due to excessive bad posting from this IP or Subnet, anonymous comment posting has temporarily been disabled. You can still login to post. However, if bad posting continues from your IP or Subnet that privilege could be revoked as well. If it's you, consider this a chance to sit in the timeout corner or login and improve your posting . If it's someone else, this is a chance to hunt them down. If you think this is unfair, please email moderation@slashdot.org with your MD5'd IPID and SubnetID, which are "3bcb4482c819e8d917ac28dc729c0e00" and "e307a2db72c91ac1e57334971cf6ad41" and (optionally, but preferably) your IP number "XX.XXX.XXX.XXXX" and your username "TheRealMindChild"

Bizaar coincidence, but maybe some schmuck down the street is being a cock. So I send an email to moderation explaining the bad use of false positives to restrict posting, and how I specifically have had "Excellent" Karma since about day 2 of me signing up for the account, and while I agree somewhat with the possible restiction of anonymous posting to curb trolling, the prospect of my specific account being suspended was not only rediculous, but horribly irresponsible.

About 42 hours after the "Restriction", I post this nugget (Mostly as humor, but more of an indicator that something is amiss): http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=117594&cid=9939887

Behold, I try to post something a couple of hours later...

Now this was at work... on a totally different subnet completely. SOmeone is pissed at me. I try SEVERAL other attempts from completely seperate IP addresses across the globe, and I get the same message everytime. My account is restricted.

At this very moment I have Excellent Karma. At best, I have maybe 3 posts moderated Troll out of the HUNDEREDS of posts I made. It is pretty clear to me that the paranoia around here is justified.
