Looking at us Sweden? Posting a 3 months old link? USA is way above Sweden in death statistics now. We've basically flat-lined our deaths for the last 3 months.
Here is the todays number (31 of October)

---> USA: 70.2 Covid deaths per 100k
---> Sweden: 58.3 Covid deaths per 100k

And no, we didn't ignore it. We just choose to implement the actual guidelines for how to handle a pandemic, agreed upon by all EU countries years before Corona hit. Not our fault that all other countries failed to follow their own strategy, but rather panicked, and went into senseless lock-downs apparently not solving anything.

We never went in to lock-down in Sweden. Have been working from home and kept social distancing though, just that really sucks.
Can't imagine how it must have been for all of you who went into strict lock-down for months on end.

We have been able to go to bars and restaurants or go shopping since everything has been open this whole time, so it has been pretty normal in that aspect. What's been missing is the normal daily contact with older relatives, meeting colleagues at the work-place, and no nightclubs and parties.

1) No. There were some reported cases of people getting SARS2-COV twice, but later it was found out with further testing that these individuals were sick all the time, and really never fought off the virus in the first time.
2) True, we don't know how long immunity lasts. But as with almost all diseases, you most likely get some resistance / partial immunity by having fought off it once. Even after losing the initial immunity.
3) Thankfully SARS2-COVis a very stable virus. It has a proofreading enzyme. Sure it mutates, but very slowly compared to other viruses.

Did you travel inside a wooden box then? I visit the US every year, last I visited San Francisco and traveled around Florida... and I'm sorry but I must inform you of this, but US infrastructure, roads, public transport, airports, hotels and internet speeds is a crumbling joke in comparison to Europe. Going on a highway from an airport reminds me of a post apocalyptic ride with all half built buildings, and all dirt poor and homeless people you see everywhere. Whatever the cool aid you've been drinking the last 30 years contains, it is not good for you. First time I visited the states was in 1989. It was another country. Felt high tech and cool.

That's not true. If public transport is convenient enough and cheaper than using a car, then that's what people will use.

I rather go by public transport, because I can, and it is readily available where I live. (Stockholm, Sweden). It would make zero sense for me to bring my car into the city where I work. I only use the car when I need to transport something large... usually on weekends.

Also I really don't like massive amounts of cars on roads. They are noisy and pollute, and it is a super energy inefficient way to move lots of people. If too much focus is placed on them when you plan a city you get really crappy city centers, where you can't walk anywhere. I'm looking at you USA, and like 90% of your cities.

In Sweden nobody uses cash anymore. Lots of bars and stores don't accept cash. Like the only ones you ever see handle cash are very old people. Threre's a mobile app called swish, with it you can send money instantly to anybody via their telephone number or a QR code. No fees. Lots of stores use swish now as well. Even Swedish IRS accepts it. So easy.
