I have an original Impreza WRX I bought new, and a Forester I bought earlier this year. Both came with cassette decks (since replaced with new-fangled CD players with a USB socket), and none of this full screen entertainment rubbish. They're both on about 100,000 miles and should last another 20 years. The Forester doesn't even have ABS or airbags, but it's a nice comfy ride.

My previous house had panels 15 years old which were still producing the same daily power when I sold the house as they were when I installed them. My current house has a system that looks even older, and works fine.

In some areas I guess you could get 10mm of dirt or something coating the panels, but here there's very heavy rain on random days in Winter which will wash your car away, let alone a bit of grime.

I usually try out an LLM by asking for a list of 5 ten-letter words with the same letter at the start and end. The one I tried last night gave me a mix of 9, 10 and 11-letter words with none of them having the same letter at the start and end. I could have got better results by throwing darts at dictionary pages.

Everything I've tried works perfectly well - and I was very surprised that a game as complex as Elite Dangerous works flawlessly.

I never bought into that device. In fact, I have never bought or owned any kind of hardware that needed a server to function (well, apart from Windows on a couple of my PCs). Smart devices - not a smart choice.

I used to use SPDIF but on my recent Windows machines I found that only allowed stereo connections, not 5.1. Using the cable with 3 x 3.5mm jacks on each end in '6 ch direct' mode sorted it.

I like the Z5500 setup so much I have four of them now - one I bought new for around $500 in 2005, and three more sets I've bought since for 100-150 each. One under my desk on my PC, one on the sim rig, one set in the bedroom with a wall mounted TV, and one in the lounge for music. Sound quality is amazing.
