The problem is in the fuel, and we can fix that.

Right. People in this country threaten to riot if gas prices go above $4/gal.

Synthetic gas that is genuinely carbon neutral (not just greenwashing like ethanol) will never be less than $20/gal.

In theory, that would work if people were willing to pay more and get more efficient vehicles. In reality, in this country, no fucking way.

They just need to want the money more than they want to look inside the box.

Making a tamper-proof server has been done. It's destructive and nonservicable but sometimes you don't care about hardware cost.

With good key management this can be reduced to a tiny chip to go poof.

Extra debs, package lists, setup script, etc. but not all the work of making and hosting a distro. Worst case should be hosting an addons repo.

I get that the Sahara needs fixing since the Pyramids are broken (it recently had the largest lake in the world) but there's still lots of Africa to inhabit.

If only for the Vitamin D health it just doesn't make sense. Heck, I can get ghostly pale in Winter and 43N might still be too arctic for my health.
