He said he'd be in 2022, and you know how everyone believes everything he says. So he must be there, since he said he would be, you know, like his tunnels across the atlantic, self-driving cars, murderbots and AI which isn't just child porn from space.

AI is a bubble based on circular accounting practices selling snake oil to the world off the back of overvalued stock. They all own and buy and book the same imaginary revenue. It's coming to an end soon.

LLM in itself? It'll find a place. Won't write good books. Or make good films. But it's not the panacea they promise and all the backers are desperately trying to convince themselves more than anyone else.

That's what is going on here.

I suspect I was shadowbanned on twitter, but I saw far more interaction on that before I left than on bluesky.

You get a flurry in a couple of weeks and then nothing. Nada.

I suspect twitter was in a state before Herr Pluggs got it, and all bluesky did was repeat them.

Or TV Show. The whole universe seems to be succesfully executed purely on the talent of Gunn, with the pre-reboots, The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker 1, then post reboot, Superman, Creature Commandos and Peacemaker 2.

And finally with an offshoot setup from end of Superman, we get someone else doing it and just has not got the talent to do it.

Not the first in recent times. Last year my outlook client suddenly trashed all replies on the latest forced update in work. Went away three weeks later, quietly.

My laptop still sits with a broken network on Windows 11, unfixable when I took the update three months later (don't use it much). No suggestions fixed it. It's to linux for me on that machine.

I'd like to blame cost cutting or incompetence, but I'd say it's very likely Fake Intelligence evangelism on their part (others call it AI, that infers Intelligence, I don't).

That's a shocker. It's an advert fruit machine paying out an update from a friend once in 30, and has an AI which cannot work out what a joke is at a basic level.

Dying company continues to die.

I won't waste money of bags of crap like Horizon Forbidden West anymore.

Yeah, AI's going to be reviewed by a selection of bloggers and influencers, probably just to add "Hail Trump" to the end of everything.

The problem of replacing programmers with generated crap.

It's like watching a car crash in slow motion.

That CEO vibe coding hasn't got the competence to reboot his PC, never mind work out complex interactions inside software.

There was exclusive games on the PS5 and them coming to the PC was good. RDR2, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn. They were good. Now about five other PS5 games in the mystery is gone. Horizon Forbidden West was crap. I never managed to get Spiderman past the first five minutes. This is no great loss now...

Last year at the place I worked, it was fine for a bit, but for a month and a half it broke and badly, the emails being sent were being formatted to be unreadable.

Then the problem quietly went away. The modern software equivalent of gaslighting, I suppose I should be glad that it did, but it's a piece of software they randomly break on an update and then fix is very much Microsofts way.

Why anyone trusts them baffles me.

And with the Artificial Idiocy "revolution" this is only going to get worse...

Some of us don't use our phones much, and are in front of a screen all day. Download the windows app, you say? Not on linux.

We need a website to be a real thing. At least blue sky understood that.
