You must have missed this poll. The gun issue was at the bottom of the list not number 2 and Boggie man of them all "Climate Change" was 9%[1]
So the questions remains after so many polls are done who do you believe?

[1] Most important issue for U.S. adults in the upcoming midterm elections 2022
Scientists were predicting a new ice age in the 60's and 70's. Obviously you have not done your research.
Let me give you a couple of examples:
1 "German meteorologist Dr. Martin Rodewald predicted that if this weather pattern continued, Europe “would be covered with the glaciers of a new ice age by the turn of the century.” In 1971, this was the science![1]
2 "Back in 1971, the theory that burning fossil fuels would create an ice age, not global warming. The Washington Post reported on July 9, 1971, that Dr. S. I. Rasool of NASA and Columbia University said that the fine dust from fossil fuel use would block out so much sunlight that the Earth’s “average temperature could drop by six degrees.” Rasool went on to argue that “such a temperature increase could be sufficient to trigger an ice age!”[2][3]
3 “Climate experts believe the next ice age is on it’s waywithin a lifetime”, Leonard Nimoy 1978. Whole plethora of articles saying "scientists are saying an ice age cometh"[4]
4 "Prof Hubert Lamb, director of climate research at the University of East Anglia, had a few comforting thoughts in an interview Sunday. The full impact of the new Ice Age will not be upon us for another 10,000 years and even then it will not be as severe as the last great glacial period."[5]
Scientists have a horrible record when it comes to making predictions especially 'climate change' ones. Again let me iterate the UN is just crying wolf or doing the Chicken Little chest banging and the IPCC the lapdog of the UN is a political body and not a scientific one. Michael Crichton had a few words about consensus and science.
In regards to your link regarding AMO. Right of the bat they say "Climate science". Yes we know there was no Climate Science as such but there were scientists and they made predictions. Extremely erroneous ones at that. Notice how the articles basically do not mention who these scientists were? There was no Myth period, scientists were predicting and end to the world via an Ice Age.

You said and I quote
You do realize that this is something that is predicted to happen in the future, right? If your house is a meter above sea level, expect it to possibly be underwater by 2100, according to current models (which predict 0.6 to 1.1 meters of sea level rise by 2100).
There are several things wrong namely:
1 It's a prediction only and past climate predictions have failed miserably.
2 The 'current models' have neither been verified or validated.
3 The current accepted value of sea level rise is 3mm/year from
Nasa itself
Therefore the actual sea level in 100 years would be 300mm or 0.3m. The house would not be submerged by a long shot.
In the past the sea level has been much higher and lower than it is today. There is nothing man can do about the sea level rise or fall. Period. However one adapts as one has always done.
The article is just another UN mouth piece crying wolf.

I decide what I want downloaded, because I pay for it and I fucking hate ads and that is why I use ad blocking software. If I want to buy something, then and only then will I look at some ads (maybe). If you want to run a business web site or your own web site then you pay for it. If you don't like me looking at your web site, fine I will go somewhere else, just don't expect me to look at ads.
The recent slashdot poll about ads said it all, 65% use ad blocking software and do not feel guilty about doing so.

There are others, but the above are the main ones.
The other being Molten Salt Reactors in particular Liquid Thorium Floride Reactors
And if you do not have one of the above you can forget about creating a space civilisation, let alone saving mankind from a fate worse than death.
You will be Assimilated.

Yes, people interact with computers in all sorts of ways. Obviously you missed the main point of what I was trying to say. That was, 'there are more important things to learn than to code'.
Regards
Slashdotgirl
Absolutely Not.
If you cannot read and comprehend and unable to do mathematics. Then you will not be coding. These two subjects alone are the basis for learning all the rest of the knowledge that us humans have acquired.
If you are required to learn coding, then you should also learn to Sew and Cook as well, or some other useful skill. These skills are more important than learning to code, in order to survive in this world.

You have to realize that COPYRIGHT is and always has been CENSORSHIP. Censorship has always been about POWER and CONTROL and finally Power and Control is a means of getting MONEY.
So yeah, the case is about money, power and control, just your usual trait that resides in us humans.

It would be appreciated that when you do polls in the future that a little bit more effort is used when constructing them.
