I don't want AI slop in every facet of my life. Siri absolutely needs improvement but I'd rather is not be able to answer a question than confidently give the wrong answer.

Is the laser was on for only 45 picoseconds.
That's just "briefly exciting electrons" domain. You're not actually imparting any meaningful energy to the Gold's crystal lattice. Even suggesting a temperature at all is highly questionable.
I liked this joke better 20 years ago in a penny Arcade comic.

The MEV-1 successfully docked with a geostationary satellite in 2020. Completed its mission in April, and is on its way to dock with a second satellite. It uses the engine nozzle as a docking port.
What they're saying is starfish is planning the first commercial docking in Low Earth Orbit, which is a really dumb distinction to make.
Logitech G815. Satisfyingly clicky, not obnoxiously loud, low-profile keys, and programmable hot keys. Very sturdy construction as well. And of course the RGB so your boss knows you're a gamer not to be messed with.
I don't care what Apple thinks, but they're 100% right.
There is an alternate search engine, it's DuckDuckGo. Bing is an obnoxious mess.
I think they mean 300nm. 300mm is, like, a transistor the size of a guinea pig.
It's been a shitshow for a over a decade. It's just too big. Las Vegas is the obvious choice if you want it to grow, but San Diego is half the reason to go to Comic-Con. It's a beautiful city with tons of cool areas you could go and unwind from the chaos. Las Vegas is a shithole by comparison.
Plus, God help you if you go outside in your costume. It was 117F/47C today in Las Vegas, and that is typical for the summer.
Nobody in their right mind would assume somebody put a $20 Airtag on a $2 sign.
If only there was some dependable energy source. One that worked equally well at any time of day, and didn't depend on foreign fossil fuels. Something that was so energy dense that you didn't have to refuel it for years and years.
Oh, well, I guess that's just science fiction in Germany. Nothing to be done.
New user: "Hi, everyone. I tried installing Linux and I'm having trouble installing the GPU driver. The screen in just showing command line error and won't go into the desktop"
Linux nerd1: "If you can't figure it out you're an idiot."
Linux nerd2: "Sorry for the trouble you're having. First, you need to type qhqa53892rew_93473jerwqwfkjhqwfyuqfwrkuyg12347iu34h53uy839443yg: -butts / -superobscurecommand. Then decompile the package and manually enter the machine code into ram. Once that's done you'll have to write a custom script and write the code to a new package that uses elements from the driver and a bin library for an old hacked Radeon 9600 driver stored on my friend's personal webserver. You'll have to know ancient sumarian to get into the web server because it's his own custom build. Once you get it running you won't be able to run games or do anything useful, but it'll load the GUI at 640x480 at 4 colors. So my autistic mind will technically consider that a success."
Linux Nerd3: "Here's a dead forum post link from 15 year ago that I lazily copied from the top google search results."
Linux Nerd4: Hello my American comrad! Please do being follow link to my sketchy github download that is not spyware. Will fix problem..
I'll buy audio books just because they're narrated by a certain VO artist. RC Bray is a big one.
If you're a sheltered dimwit like Musk AI will surpass you next year.
For the rest of humanity? 60-80 years.
I think one or both of the tanks lost pressure after engine cut off.
The interior of the nose had some sort of fog inside it while it was in space, which is very odd considering there was no reason for it to be pressurized. They tried to cycle the payload door but it was bound up (probably pressure damage.) Then without ullage gas for the thrusters, the ship started tumbling out of control and reentered facing the wrong way (engine side first) which destroyed the wiring and plumbing back there.
Without the internal pressure, the ship was crushed like a soda can after it started experiencing atmospheric drag.
Making cars is completely different animal than consumer electronics. They'd be directly competing with Tesla who has already had a 20 year head start.
I'm also sure that the Vision Pro numbers are not looking great behind the scenes, which has them rethinking their strategy. I think pushing into AI is a smart idea and what they should have been doing the entire time. Siri should have been ChatGPT.
