Ok - EVs don't work for everyone in every place. We all know already.

Economics has shown time and again that when there's demand, the supply with catch up. My region of the US has a high EV adoption rate, level 2 (around 30 miles of charge/hour) and level 3 (DC fast charge) are quite common. Many larger companies have installed charge stations for their employees and more and more shopping centers have them as well.

If GM (or some other OEM) has a battery breakthrough in the next couple of years, adoption of EVs will grow even more. This will spur entrepreneurs to invest in charging stations.

As for the cold.. yeah the range goes down but I also experienced that with ICE vehicles as well but mainly due to the gasoline blend they offered during colder months.

This is the US we are talking about, I think the reason is dumber than you think. The universities that are gaining are also in the big name athletic conferences. It's brand recognition

There are some other reasons. Affordability, more going to trade schools, some disillusionment with higher education. Honestly, I believe the biggest factor is kids want the big name school affiliation and if that doesn't happen, they either settle for a smaller school or go a different route.

That's probably based on what was available 3 years ago. Tesla was about the only one in mass production.

Hyundai is starting to take over in my area, though you can find just about every EV model on the road if you look around for about 20 minutes. I haven't compared the Hyundai to Tesla in terms of technology or capability... but the Hyundai vehicles are simply more pleasing to look at. Tesla just has uninspiring design. It's fine when you're basically the only option but you'll lose quick when the competition becomes serious.

I'd like to know which schools WERE prepared for ChatGPT.

I think for most students, eventually they'll be found out and realize using AI to do their work will not help them long term.

If I were a teacher - I'd simply make the final exam worth enough points to drop the grade by at least a full letter if failed and force that exam to be pencil/paper only. You'll quickly figure out who was faking it the entire time. Not perfect but the paper/pencil method has worked for centuries.
