    • Nope. I think so, and no.

      I'm getting better. I'm still in shock. I couldn't go to work on Tuesday, I was just too upset, and fragile.

      Worse, I have family coming into town today, and now I don't know that they will get to see the kids.

        Dude... I mean, what can I possibly say? You're basically living one of my worst nightmares.

        Were not for the kids I'd suggest grotesque violence.

        Seriously, when you're feeling up to it, CALL ME. We'll have some beers or something. I'll drive you home if you want to get drunk, ok?

        It's a horrible thing. May I suggest one thing to you? This will also be an opportunity for TREMENDOUS growth for you as a person. I know you'd rather just be happily married, but there WILL be a positive side to this at some point.

      • I wrote a long thing here , then just deleted it . Occam's razor applies here.
        Take a break man , get your head together and spend time with friends and just chill for a while.
        I haven't been in exactly the same situation , but similar . Just don't .. for the love of whatever you believe in make the same mistakes I did . Having a few drinks is fine with your mates , but alcohol solves nothing and neither does shutting yourself off from the world totally .You need some time to yourself and you also need to spe

  • I am truly sorry to hear this. There's not much I can do, other than to say that I hope you're all right and that I hope this works out somehow.

  • It is really hard. I know.

    Take care of the kids. Resist the urges to behave horribly to your wife. I know it sounds like a cliche - but you will regret it later. This is where being a human being is most different and more painful than other large mammals.
