Comment Stupid Idea (Score 1) 273

This is an absolutely STUPID idea. If it’s fair to tax everyone at the same rate, no matter how much use the get out of a product(roads in this case), then just drop the fuel tax and tax ALL vehicles equally. No business exemptions either! It’s not like business vehicles don’t cause most of the road wear in the first place.

Comment Re:How do you compete against... (Score 1) 221

The lastest information I can find shows BYD and Tesla are the only companies selling EVs at a profit, with Stellantis selling some models at a profit in the EU. Unless the other manufacturers learn to build EVs at a profit, they'll go bankrupt or be very downsized to selling only niche-market cumbustion vehicles.

Comment The Great Controversy Between Christ and Satan (Score 1) 413

Most people have aligned themselves with Satan and his lies. Since AI is really nothing more than a glorified parrot, it can only spew back compiled results of what it finds online, which is made up mostly of postings that are "allowed" by those aligned with Satan's way of thinking. God doesn't lie or deceive, so He is arguably at a disadvantage. The ideas and morals of those on the right tend to be more aligned with God's methods, morals and thoughts, so there are definite rights and wrongs, good and bad, moral and immoral behaviors, etc.

Book banning/burning as an example comes down to those on the right, with "Godly" morals not wanting evil and immoral content placed in front of the eyes of their impressionable youths. The left is fine with this content though, as there really is no abosolute right or wrong, so they justify these materials as freedom of speech and inclusiveness. It really is simply a matter of good vs. evil unless you are on the left and don't believe there is any such thing as good or evil, God or devil.

Comment Re:Charging time is still the bottleneck (Score 1) 98

Very true. This is partially alleviated by people being able to charge at home, so other than long road trips there is never a reason to visit these roadway charging stations. Even apartment-dwellers can normally have level-2 chargers installed where they normally park overnight.

Comment Flawed reasoning (Score 1) 613

This is silly reasoning. Most people only wear one set of clothes per day, so why do people have 23 shirts in their closets?
Refrigerators are huge, and yet the food eaten during a day could fit within a single cubic foot of space. Such a waste, right?
When you need the range, you need it now. You can't charge every 36.2 miles just because that's the average number of miles driven by the average US vehicle. This is such a ridiculous argument.
