The government told social media companies to silence people who were critical of Biden.

When did this happen? Citation, please.

You are aware that Joe Biden, while seemingly a nice enough guy, was wildly unpopular as a leader, including among the left? It was the Democrats, after all, who convinced him not to run for a second term.

Nothing what is being accused of here covers the act of monopolising. Following a common standard approach is not anti-trust, in fact whole bodies exist to standardise how things are done, and whole industry bodies self regulate the way industries operate.

What's being alleged here is closer to price fixing, which is also an antitrust violation. Hypothetically, let's say four major automakers got together and said, "We all know we have access to the latest in brake technology, but we collectively agree not to deploy it until two years from now," presumably for business reasons. That kind of collusion is illegal.

That's just one of the ways it lies. Another is that a job building an AI data center is not a job, it's a gig. Also: "initial effects look positive" doesn't support the title, even if it were true, the job numbers are all jobs, not ai, it's one jobs report, not ai jobs, it's building on job statistics that carefully count people who have given up but would gladly return to the labor market if jobs were out there as not looking, ignores underemployment and undesirable gig work, layoffs "due to AI" are a lie as firms use the latest excuse, job listings are not jobs, and the economy is way bigger than this small number of openings. Money covers many blushes.

You got a lot of bad laws like this because voters are dumb and they don't pay a lot of attention to politics and we don't teach them things like this.

As a Californian, I definitely would NOT have voted for this had I been given the opportunity.

And yeah, we LITERALLY have campaign ads running now to the extent of, "Pedophile murderers are being released to the streets ... and Candidate X voted for it THREE TIMES!!!!"

Someone said that Ridley can create movies if the script is great but it not...

That one was yet another case of Ridley having a script, deciding it was good enough to start building sets and working on effects, and then constantly changing the script all the way up through editing. Whole subplots got dropped, characters who appeared in promo material just never showed up in the movie, character motivations stopped making sense, plot points were retroactively changed, etc. Prometheus suffered from the same problem, if not to an even greater degree. It's like those movies where everybody cries "studio interference!" ... only in Ridley's case, he's the one who interferes constantly with his own movies.
